Setting up your camera with the YI Home app
- Install the YI Home app and create a YI Home account.
- Turn on your camera and click the icon in the top right corner of the YI HOME app to add your camera.
- Select your Wi-Fi network and input your Wi-Fi password, then choose Connect to Wi-Fi.
- Scan the QR Code displayed in the app, then select next after the QR Code has been scanned.
- Select save, then choose start using to finish the pairing process.
- If the connection fails, press the reset button and try again.
Wi-Fi settings
- YI Home cameras need to connect to a 2.4GHz band network. The 5GHz WiFi band is not supported.
- Enable the location service on your phone if you encounter an unknown SSID issue.
- The encryption mode must be set to WPA/WPA2 (mixed mode) or WPA2.
- Your Wi-Fi password must consist of 8 to 20 characters.
