Note:
- When you receive the violin, please note that the bridge is wrapped in paper and stored underneath the tailpiece. Do not discard it; it should be installed in the middle of the two F Holes.
- If the bow’s hairs are loose upon receipt, do not worry. Use the screw to tighten the frog to achieve the necessary tautness.
- If you find that some of the bow hair is broken, it is normal; simply cut off the broken part, and the bow can still be used normally.
- Be cautious not to over-tighten your bow; the hair should have a slight bounce without touching the stick when placed on the strings. Typically, a distance of about 1/4 of an inch from the low point of the curve to the hair is ideal.
- Hold the rosin with your index finger and thumb, and while tightening the bow, evenly apply the rosin on the bowstring in an up-and-down motion. Suggested use: before applying, scratch a line on the rosin to make it powdery for quick and even application. Try to keep your hands away from the rosin or use a tissue while applying; otherwise, it may become too sticky to clean.
